We had greatest time – departing SV Mdladla duo

- BY DELISA THWALA

MBABANE – “We have nothing but fond memories of working at SV Mdladla.”

These were some of the kind words shared by two now former employees of the law firm.

One of those is lawyer Hlomendlini Mdladla, who has opened his own law firm.

“My big brother inspired me to start my own firm and I look up to him,” he said during a farewell function held in his honour on Friday at Highlands View.

He mentioned that the reason he was leaving SV Mdladla and Associates was because he was starting his own law firm, styled HM Mdladla Attorneys.

Hlomendlini said operations would start on July 7, 2022 and his offices are located at Dlanubeka.

“I need to tie up a few knots and get operating. I already have a few cases underway, it is all about service delivery,” he said. He stated that it had been great working with his brother and he had learnt a lot from him.

“I’m ready to go out there and deliver the best law services,” he said during the interview. The event was made colourful by Hlomendlini’s now former colleagues and some seasoned lawyers. The day’s itinerary included speeches and throwbacks to fun moments and cases they handled together.

Farewell

One of his colleagues said they were happy to be part of the farewell function and they wished junior Mdladla all the best in his new law firm.

“It is obviously sad to see him go, but we wish him all the best. This is a milestone and may he achieve greatness and impact the law industry well,” said a colleague.

Retiree Patricia Masemola was also praised for being a bliss to work with.

Her colleagues showered her with accolades, in particular referring to her work ethic and humble personality.

They all wished her well on her retirement.

In her brief speech, Masemola thanked everyone for being a sound board during her time at SV Mdladla and Associates.

She promised to use her retirement profitably.

Lawyer Sidumo Mdlala thanked the duo for their invaluable input in the law firm and wished them well in their future endeavours.

“Patricia has been with us for well more than 10 years and has been one of the most dedicated employees in the law firm,” Sidumo said.

He further promised to give all the necessary support to his brother (Hlomendlini) in his new law firm.

“I am certainly happy for both of them and really want to thank them for the time they spent with us.”
