Sir,

People lose their way when they lose their ‘why’. Let your past be in the past and don’t turn it into a monument. As an individual you have to learn not to be loyal to things that do not help you. Sympathisers will never help you; they will never change your life. The harsh situations that have clouded you are not your destination. You just need to be brave and be stronger to rise up quickly and move on.

We need people who will encourage us to overcome bad situations. The situations that perplex us are not our aspirations. They are usually not optional and controllable but we just have to learn to accept them and move on. Note that everything we pray for is not from heaven but from other people we live with in this world, and God brings those people to us to show His love for us.

My brothers and sisters out there, stop tormenting yourselves. Forget, overcome and defeat your thinking. You were born to be victorious; you are a conqueror. Walk above bad situations; use the thorns that affect your feet as mattress and make a bed to rest. Ensure to keep yourself above your delusions.

Harsh situations are seasons in life, seasons that cannot be prayed for to pass but you must brace yourself for them. No situation is permanent; they shall all pass. Everything on earth is perishable and unreliable, so you have to learn to appreciate God for every season, for there is something to learn from them. Some are there to push you to your purpose.

In the movie titled ‘Titanic’, when Rose realised that Jack was dead, though she had that true love that evoked agony, she wisely moved on. She raised her hand for the police to see her. The police with the emergency boats saw a hand as far as 600m away, and they turned back to save her. She just moved on no matter how much she loved him. Remember that everything happens through the will of God.
