A nett of 73 points placed Robert Mgcina on position five and he was followed by Mduduzi Hlophe with 76. Securing the top eight spots were Elliot Nkambule and former champion Moses Dlamini who had a count back standing between them as they both scored 77 nett. Also making it to the podium after being announced the winner for the best gross points was junior golfer and future champion Vuyo Dlamini, who was joined by his father Futhi during the prize presentation.

The champion thanked their loyal sponsor Mashayinkonjane Butchery, whose partnership and support for Manzini Golf Club stretches for over five years. The winners take home a variety of meat packages, trophies and often golf equipment in prizes.

“I have won this tournament before and it’s always a pleasure participating as it attracts a large field. Thank you to our sponsor who has been loyal to us for over five years.

“I’m happy for the victory and I will do my best to defend the title in the next edition,” Dada said.

The next tournament is scheduled for the fourth weekend of July.
