SIDVOKODVO - Minister of Tourism and Environmen­tal Affairs Moses Vilakati said that the Motor Sport Weekend should be an annual event going forward for the next five years.

The Motor 6port Weekend took place over the weekend at 5iders 5anch. It also had performanc­es by 6outh $frican artists namely Big Nuz , Master .* and Makhadzi. It also had car spinning from different teams from 6outh $frica, Mozambique and locally. When interviewe­d, the minister said the Motor 6port Weekend did a lot for (swatini tourism. +e said it brought in numbers of travellers.

“These kinds of events do great for our domestic tourism and tourism in general. We hope this event brings in numbers even in the next five years as it goes on. I¶m also happy to be here and to see this great talent,´ said 9ilakati.

$ccording to one of the event organisers, Banele 'lamini, the second edition of (swatini Motorsport was a success he said they were happy with the overall event and the reception it received from people. 'lamini also took time to thank their sponsors and partners which included MTN, (swatini Mobile and Mula 6port among others.

+e said the event was establishe­d from ideas brought together with passion and heart for reaching out to the less privileged souls of young and old individual­s who did not have hope.

“It is that passion that gave birth to the idea in to host a motorsport event, which incorporat­es music and entertainm­ent that attracts a huge number of people from the .ingdom of (swatini and tourists from the 5epublic of 6outh $frica and Mozambique,´ said 'lamini.
