Murder suspect threatened to
MBABANE – The man who is accused of stabbing his lover at a bar she was employed in around Pigg’s Peak allegedly threatened to hack with a bush knife all men he suspected to be in love with her.
This is contained in the summary of evidence in the matter in which Somiso Dlamini (40) of Maguga is facing a charge of murder following the death of Ntombikayise Mthimkhulu, whom he allegedly stabbed with a hunting knife, popularly known as a Rambo. Dlamini allegedly murdered Mthimkhulu after informing the police in Pigg’s Peak that she was involved in a love relationship with a police officer.
Arrested
Dlamini was arrested and charged with the murder of Ntombikayise Mthimkhulu of Mangwaneni.
The incident happened on January 28, 2017 at Enkomanzi Bottle Store in Pigg’s Peak.
Dlamini’s trial began yesterday before Judge Bongani Sydney Dlamini and the Crown is expected to lead nine witnesses. He pleaded not guilty to the charge of murder but guilty to culpable homicide. Three witnesses were led yesterday. One of the witnesses is expected to tell the court that Mthimkhulu informed him that Dlamini had threatened to hack all the men he suspected her to be in love with, using a bush knife.
He will also tell the court that when Mthimkhulu knocked off, Dlamini, who is represented by Noncedo Ndlangamandla, was waiting outside the bottle store and had a conversation with her for a couple of minutes. The witness was called by Mthimkhulu after sometime and she informed him that she was at Pigg’s Peak Club because she did not want Dlamini to known her whereabouts. He will state that he later learnt that Mthimkhulu had been stabbed.
