same bail amount without surety by Senior Magistrate Mavuso. The Crown was represented by Prosecutor Lomthantazo Lukhele, who did not oppose the bail application for accused number two. In attendance during the court proceedings were Deputy Lubombo REO Thami Dlamini and staff members.
In count one, accused one and two are charged with the offense of housebreaking with intent to steal and theft in that on March 08, 2022 near Siteki at the Regional Education Offices in the Lubombo Region, the said accused persons either one or all of them acting jointly in the furtherance of a common purpose did unlawfully with intent to steal, break and entered an office and stole items valued at E594 000, the property of or in the lawful possession of one Mhlonishwa Sihle Magagula and did thereby committ the said offence.
In count two, accused one and two are charged with the offense of housebreaking with intent to steal and theft in that upon June 15, 2022 near Siteki at the Regional Education Offices in the Lubombo Region, the said accused persons, either one or all of them acting jointly in the furtherance of a common purpose, did unlawfully with intent to steal, break and entered an office situate of Ncamsile Lukhele and stole items valued at E324 000, the property of or in lawful possession of Lukhele and did thereby commit the said offence.
Lawyer Ginindza, who was representing Mncobi, said after instructions from his client, he will plead not guilty, while accused number two is yet to suppliment on the matter when it returns to court on July 21.
Senior Magistrate Mavuso told both accused persons that they were expected back in court on July 21 pending the setting of the trial date by both the defense counsel and the Senior Prosecutor Patrick Mkhatshwa.
