BIG BEND – Ruthless Ubombo Flyers humiliated Young Aces 7-0 in a one-sided Swazi Trac Lubombo Super League encounter to maintain their four - point lead.

This transpired in the past weekend. Flyers are now sitting at 65 points in 29 games while the closest challengers CK Survivors are at 61 points after playing the same number of games.

Second-placed CK Survivors, on the other hand, beat Juventus 2-0 to keep their title hopes alive, while CPL dropped points, as they were held to a 1-1 draw against Bhelebane.

Other results of the weekend saw Hungry Vultures beating struggling City Warriors 3-1; Samampela beat Ngcina 3-1; while Magwanyana beat Malahleni United 1-0.

The latter returned to winning ways on Sunday, beating Ngcina 3-2 while Sikhalo seAfrica who were beaten 2-1 by Home Sparrows a day earlier, ended the weekend on a positive note with a emphatic 2-1 win over USA Distillers. It was the same situation for Gucuka Cosmos who were beaten 1-0 by USA Distillers on Saturday before completing the weekend with a comfortable 2-0 win over Bhelebane. With five games left before the curtain falls on the 18-team league, the battle for the championship and survival continues to bring the entertainment each passing week.
