Roar of engines in Motocross Championsh­ips

M– There will be varying sounds of engines tomorrow for motocross and bike enthusiast­s at Dwaleni, Matsapha.

This will be during the Eswatini Motocross and Enduro-X Championsh­ip Round three. Eswatini Motocross and Bike Associatio­n (EMBA) Committee member, Tasmia Young, affirmed yesterday that the event was going ahead. It will start at 9am at Dwaleni, Mamba Family

Plot and through the track called Exodus. The race will see bikers compete in the support 50cc, MX3 and WOW races.

She also disclosed that there would be pre-registrati­on which would close at 8am. Practice would start at 8:30am.

Dominated

Usually the championsh­ips are dominated by the Sales and Youngs.

Chase Sales was the winner in the Support 50cc category after shining in the two heats that they competed in early this year. He won with 20 points beating strong contenders in Dejean Lotter and Rourkey Uys who scored 14 points.

Keona Sales, a sister to Chase also excelled in the PRO 50 girls’ category winning with 20 points. Vaughn Sales, did not only start brightly but finished strongly to win the 65cc category on 20 points. Representi­ng the Young family well was Seth Young who managed to win the 85cc PRO on 20 points, his young brother Eli also did well in the PRO 50 boys’ category with Blake Young also excelling in the 125 High School category.
