MBABANE – MPs have lauded the new EBIS Director Sabelo Dlamini, and called for due procedure to be followed when hiring the Eswatini TV chief executive officer (CEO), indicating that the need for a CEO was urgent.

According to Ndzingeni Member of Parliament (MP) Lufto Dlamini, when the Ministry of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) was established, there were two main problems, which were Swazi TV (Eswatini TV) and radio.

The legislator said this should be the case in the matter of Eswatini TV as well. He commended the minister as he had seen that she had fired the Eswatini TV Board members because it was the one with the major issue.

“We hope the new Board is aware that there were issues from the previous Board in order to tread accordingly,” said the legislator.

The Ndzingeni MP further acknowledged that the ICT minister was young and she had a future ahead of her and did not need to leave a legacy that
