Sir,

Most often when we go through adversity, we feel like even our Creator has deserted us, especially when we experience one calamity after the other. After praying and doing all we think is humanly possible to help end our suffering and yet nothing changes, we start questioning God’s availability during trying times.

No matter the den of abuse you are in, or whatever challenge you are facing, you’re not alone, God is there with you. God was there with Daniel in the lion’s den, He saved him from the famished lions because that situation was not meant to kill or destroy Daniel before God’s purpose was fulfilled concerning his life.

Mandate

Even our Lord, Jesus Christ couldn’t die before fulfilling His God-ordained mandate; that of reconciling us to the Father, through the cross. From birth, there were attempts on the life of Jesus but they were all botched because God had not purposed for Jesus to die before fulfilling the mandate, He also went through suffering and endured until the end when He declared; “It is finished.”

Refuse to bow to the pressure of what you are going through, acknowledge your God even in that situation, just call out to Him.

Your current situation doesn’t mean it’s the end of you, you’re stronger than what you went through or are going through. It can’t kill you because greater is He who is in you than that situation, allow God to rule in your circumstances.

He says; “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you, when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God,” Isaiah 43:2-3 NIV.

When God is at work in your life, He removes people you may want to rely on from your life, so that you may realise how strong and capable you are. If I had not gone through the wilderness of abuse, I wouldn’t have learnt the life’s lessons God has taught me while moulding me through pain. Rest assured, you are not alone!
