UK pupils learn emaSwati traditions from Ngwempisi folk

M- United Kingdom pupils spent over two weeks exploring and learning about Eswatini culture at Ngwempisi Constituency in the Manzini Region.
The over 13 pupils from the All Out Africa programme which has been ongoing in the constituency for years and was halted by the COVID-19 outbreak, and travelling between countries was temporarily suspended.

Sibusiso Mazomba Dludlu, the pupils, who are from England, have already constructed a soup kitchen for the impoverished children in that area through their personal donations.

Dludlu said during the pupils’ visit, they had an opportunity to learn how to cook traditional foods, how to make chicken nests and other numerous Swati regalias from the women in the area. “The pupils also learnt how to speak the SiSwati language and even had an interests in eating traditional Eswatini foods. The interaction between these pupils and the people in the community

He added that the visitors, who always come in groups, have pledged to help the community in completing most of the projects in the community in the future.
He then lauded, more especially the women in the area, for playing a big part in taking care of the visiting pupils in the area.
