IMBABANE – Mohale Mohammed Consulting Services (Pty) Ltd has been enlisted as the best evaluated tenderer to be granted the Eswatini Investment & Trade Promotion Authority (EIPA) tender.

This was revealed by the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA) in their website.

The tender was awarded to the company yesterday and they are expected to begin executing it after a period of 10 working days.

According to the regulatory agency, EIPA was looking for contractor to amend and develop their policies.

EIPA promotes and stimulate local and foreign trade in and out of Eswatini by encouraging export development and marketing as well as import substitution.

Promotion

Their policies are trade related as they are also responsible for investment promotion by attracting and facilitating investment generation while also marketing Eswatini as a viable and attractive investment destination.

If Mohale Mohammed Consulting Services (Pty) Ltd is awarded the contract, they are expected to assist EIPA in the above mentioned.

EIPA has not yet awarded the contract for the tender but Mohale Mohammed Consulting Services (Pty) Ltd are the favourites, the initial proposed contract price of the tender was E195 500.

Worth noting, in the past three weeks, small constructions companies which are based in the country have acquired over ten tenders, which were afore granted to big companies.

This is in line with the provision and procurement of tenders in the Public Procurement Regulations which states that local companies will be granted preferences in the evaluation of tenders in public procurement.

Mohale Mohammed Consulting Services (Pty) Ltd was competing with SNG Grant Thornton and 360 Business Solution (Pty) Ltd for the tender.

The total evaluation score for the companies was not revealed in the tender document but it was indicated that Purple Dot Pty LTD was disqualified.

Failed

SNG Grant Thornton was second place because the company failed to meet the minimum technical score, they scored 68 per cent.

360 Business Solution (Pty) Ltd was third place because the company failed to meet the minimum technical score, and also failed to surpass the evaluation score of SNG Grant Thornton, they scored 63 per cent.

As the requesting entity, Eswatini Railway was also in charge for the procuring of the tender as well as its approvals. ESPPRA requested unsuccessful bidders to submit an application for review with the agency with 10 working days.

“All tenderers who submitted bids are hereby notified that a period of 10 working days is hereby allowed to for submission of any application for review”, said ESPPRA.

The agency also mentioned that the tender they intend to award to Mohale Mohammed Consulting Services (Pty) Ltd does not constitute a contract.
