Vulamasango crowned Champ of Champs
MATSAPHA - Vulamasango High School was crowned the new winners at the Eswatini Bank Schools Music competition on Sunday.
The music competition was held at the University of Eswatini, Sport Emporium. Second place went to
Nhlangano Central High School while third place went to St Therisian.
In her speech, the EswatiniBank Managing Director (MD), Nozizwe Mulela, said, “It is an honour to have been part of this exciting day and witnessed the Eswatini Bank Schools Choral Music Competition Champ of Champs. After a brief hiatus, one of the country’s most beloved choral competitions has resumed, and it pleases me to announce that this year marks the 16th edition of the competition.”
She went on to say that the bank remains confident in this competition’s ability to turn dreams into reality which is why EswatiniBank has sponsored the schools music competition this year, with E250 000.The competition has been a gateway for numerous choristers to gain the confidence and expertise allowing them to perform on international stages. Composers on the other hand, have birthed great melodies and groomed skills to near perfection.

“I encourage students to continue to refine their God-given talents and relentlessly pursue their career goals simultaneously in order to increase their chances of living out the lives they have always envisioned for themselves.
In retrospect, my life has always revolved around formal structures and numbers which is why I have always deeply admired how artists are able to harness power to change the atmosphere in any room,” shared Mulela.
