MBABANE - Afri Travel and Tours hosted a successful culture day event at Maguga Cultural Village, on Friday.

)our schools from Pigg¶s Peak competed in five differ ent cultural activities namel\ ingadla, sibhaca, comed\, poetr\ and drama. All the activities were performed under the theme µEmbracing Culture to Address *ender Based 9iolence¶.

7he schools that partici pated in the activities were high schools from northern +hohho which are Imbeka +igh, EkuvinMelw­eni +igh, Enhliti\weni +igh and 0hla tane +igh 6chool. All the schools participat­ed in all the categories.

At the end of the competi tion there were winning pric es for the three best schools, which was mone\ and tro phies.

Enhliti\weni +igh was able to obtain number one with an average of 5. per cent. )ol lowed b\ 0beka +igh with an average of 5. per cent and number three was obtained b\ EkuvinMelw­eni +igh 6chool with an average of . per cent. 7hen 0hlatane +igh 6choolobta­ined position last with an average of 5 . per cent. 7he\ were two guest speakers namel\ Chief E[ec utive Officer (CEO) for Arts and Culture 6tanel\ 'lamini, and 0iss Cultural +eritage Eswatini, 1gcebo 'lamini who sponsored the event with 1 loafs of bread from the Premier Baker\.

7he (CEO) was the one who announced the results with the help of 0iss Cultural in awarding the trophies to the schools.
