MBABANE – Over 50 judokas graded from white to yellow belt.

The youngsters came from four schools around the country.

These were 8sutu Forest Internatio­nal School, Montessori /ife Academy, 3remier Independen­t and /ittle School. The grading was held this past weekend at the /ittle School.

Eswatini -udo Federation E-F Secretary *eneral S* Tertius Esterhuyse­n said this was the first grading after the C29ID-1 era.

+e said they would continue with the grading’s in 2ctober when they hoped to host an open tournament.

³:e only graded from white belt to yellow. Early 2ctober we will continue by grading from the yellow to orange and then the higher grades grading will be on the third week of 2ctober.

³It will be followed by an open tournament,” he said.

Esterhuyse­n added that during the period August 12-14 they would host their -udo camp at 1dolomba Eden *arden where schools are expected to send their Mudokass.

Camp

Some of the schools expected to attend the camp include Theatre Club, Montessori, 8sutu, /ittle School, %ahai, Kobe, Khanyisile and 3remier School.

The E-F is among the sporting codes that are not currently affiliated with the Eswatini Sport and 5ecreation Council ES5C as per the reports from the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs.

³2n :ednesday afternoon the E-F executive will have a meeting to discuss our way forward of going back and affiliate with the sports mother body.

³:e are expecting clubs to also be part of the meeting for the way forward,” he said.

-udo was for almost two full years out of action as per the C29ID-1 precaution­s.
