MBABANE – The Manzini Regional Pool Associatio­n (MRPA) is the mirror of pool in the country as it is the busiest and run the richly sponsored tournament in the Dixie’s Internatio­nal Pool League.

Into their fourth edition since they got the sponsorshi­p from the Matsapha-based sports merchandis­e dealing company, MRPA currently has a 12team league with two rookies in Malkerns formerly Nick’s and Ntontozi Pool Clubs. The league is sponsored to the tune of E40 000 but E10 000 was reserved for an annual knockout. This leaves the league package at E30 000.

Seeing that they are headed towards the end of the season with defending champions Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) looking on course to win it again, the

MRPA is ready to welcome new members into the league which also runs along with a E10 000 knockout under the Dixie’s Internatio­nal brand.

“We are three games away and we would love to send a special invitation to all new teams who are interested in joining the Dixie’s League for next season in the Manzini Region to contact the chairman or the secretary,” announced MRPA Secretary Musa Dlamini.

The Chairman is Menzi Bhembe and can be reached at 7611 9921 while Dlamini’s contact number is 7626 3690. The latter said they were having a good season and even looked forward to a better and bigger edition next season.

He also confirmed this weekend’s fixtures in the Dixie’s Internatio­nal Pool League with games set for Saturday and only one, the security forces derby between Correction­al Services and Garrison.
