WinaManje with MTN Eswatini
MBABANE – MTN Eswatini proves that they are all about play and bringing you that Yello Fever as E2 million worth of prizes are up for grabs.
Nhlangano folks experienced this Yello Fever as they had to play, grin and win amazing prizes with MTN Eswatini this Saturday at Zama Zama Complex parking lot in Nhlangano.
MTN Eswatini was launching the WinaManje campaign, which will run until December 2022.Wina Manje is a simple opportunity for any MTN Eswatini customer to win her/his share of E2 million worth of prizes. These amazing prizes include data, Mobile Money (MoMo), grocery vouchers at Pick n Pay (weekly prize), and the ultimate prize is E500 000. There is also a mid-campaign prize of E100 000 and a monthly prize of E50 000 which is up for grabs.
The activation event was all play, have fun, and maybe win. The games included a word puzzle, darts, spin the wheel, qhumuqhumu, and walk to pick up your phone.
To qualify to play in any of these games, entrants had to buy Eswatini MTN bundles from the MTN outlet that was set up in the parking lot. It could be data, voice, or loading MoMo.
Plenty took their shot at winning.
Some came out smiling, while others were motivated to try again until they unlocked a win.
To ease the tension and fixation on winning, there were countless relaxing moments where performers entertained the crowd.
These included performances by Gospel Phathwakahle, epic dancers called The Show Stopper, and a terrific acting group known as the Sisonkhe Theater Group.
Entertainment
For some, the entertainment fuelled them up with resilience to go back and take a shot at winning again. Although a participant could not play the same game after winning, they had to try a new one.
Most games proved fair and doable, but the ‘walk and pick up your phone’ had everyone on their knees and on the brink of breaking. A few participants missed it by an inch.
By the way, for this one, they were blindfolded with an MTN backpack. However, they were given a chance to count their steps towards the phone before being blindfolded.
One of the participants almost had this one in the bag. However, he kicked the phone and was disqualified.
“Rules are rules; you walk to the phone, stop and pick,” clearly stated MTN’s Meshack Maseko with Mthimbawawa as the game facilitators.
In the middle of the event, Maseko and Mthimbawawa were making calls to winners of shopping vouchers at Pick n Pay. These were names drawn randomly for customers who had been actively loading packages or products: Voice and data bundles.
About five MTN Eswatini customers were lucky to win the shopping voucher worth E1000.
MTN Eswatini Brand, Communications and Sponsorship Manager Lando Dlamini hinted that winning a share of the E2 million prizes would be simple.
She said, “The more you buy real-time and load data as a customer, the higher the points they get. The higher the points, the higher the chances to be entered into weekly, monthly and grand prize draws.”
To check their WinaManje points, customers can simply SMS 7090 to check their points,” she added.
