Nothing to celebrate - TUCOSWA

MANZINI – There is nothing to celebrate on the increment of wages, according to the Trade Union Congress of Swaziland (TUCOSWA). Secretary General of TUCOSWA Mduduzi Gina said they were disappointed that the increment was introduced yesterday, as it ought to have been effected at the beginning of the year.

He said the employees, due to the delay in implementation, were exploited as they were not remunerated what their representatives had agreed on. Gina said COVID-19 was submitted as the reason the increments could not be implemented as employers were struggling.
