It’s a dog-eat-dog in Dixie’s League
MBABANE – The end of the road in the Dixie’s International E40 000 Pool League is nigh in what is proving to be a close contest with a couple of games to spare.
Going to the weekend, leaders and defending champions Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) Pool Club have everything to give when they travel to a tricky Ludzeludze II on Saturday.
The star-studded ensemble with big names like ladies national team Coach Sithembiso ‘Dodge’ Matsebula, the decorated national star Sibusiso Nhlabatsi and Colani Mbingo were stunned by Figaredo two weeks ago.
They had been hoping to recover from that defeat last weekend but their game with Phocweni was a non-starter.
It has since been rescheduled to this
Sunday at 1pm inside the Police Academy in Matsapha.
REPS are only three points away from hopeful Way Inn who sit on second and four points off Correctional Services and Manzini Pool Club (MPC), but they have a game in hand. All the three teams still in the race have two games while REPS have one in hand before the season is over.
Way Inn will have a tough one against Manzini Masters away in Manzini on Sunday at 1pm, while MPC will have it quite easy against a faltering Garrison lately on Saturday, with Correctional Services away to rookies Ntontozi where the former are expected to come out victors.
Manzini Regional Pool Association (MRPA) Secretary Musa Dlamini confirmed the fixtures as well as results and standings after the past weekend.
