-

LOBAMBA - Out of the Zion Experience event, the perfection of beauty, God has shone forth. Yesterday the Lobamba Revival Centre was packed to the brim, to witness headlining act Sphiwo Ndoni Ndlangamandla.

He delivered a moving and stellar performance to his fans.

This was during the Zion Experience Hymns and Spiritual event that saw over 400 worshippers attend.

The man of the moment mounted to stage at around 10:40pm clad in a black and white suit.

The tone and ambience had already been set by the previous performers which included Sicelo Moya. When he took to stage Ndlangamandla thanked his fans for making it to the show and applauded them for filling up the house. Seemingly overcome by emotions Ndlangamandla broke into a song that made vocals stand out.

Sphiwo Ndlangamandla is the ‘Tive Temhlaba Tikubone Song Writer and Award Winner’.

He sang over five songs with the help of his 10 backup singers.

During his hour-long performance he brought powerful spiritual songs.

Emotions, high chatter, spiritual awakening and praise were the main themes of the event.

Everyone in the room was filled with emotions and praise, while others danced the night away.

Other performances included Fakazi Samuels, who ushered the audience into midnight with his classic saxophone tunes. Others included Nondumiso Nhleko, Portia Praise amongst others. When spoken to, these artists attested to having a great time on stage and being part of the event.

“It is humbling to be here, I honestly loved and enjoyed the crowd,” said Fakazi.

Patrons spoken to mentioned that they had a great time at the event and were looking forward to many more of Zion Experience Hymns and Spiritual events.

One Tebe Mngomezulu said events like these awakened the soul and they were happy to witness them.

“This was a better way to spend my Friday night, just being in the presence of the Lord and other worshippers,” she said.

Another Mduduzi Nkomonye said he felt fulfilled by the event and was looking to a second one.

“We want more of worshipping, being in the presence of the Lord is amazing,” he said.

Special moments of the entire night included a random prayer session on stage, where patrons were asked to pray after a Bible reading from a pastor. The moment lasted over 20 minutes, where the crowd was immersed in prayer and worship.

Others were heard speaking in tongues, while others jumped up and down in spiritual joy.
