During the caucus held after the Speaker, Petros Mavimbela, had told the MPs that it was unSwazi to deliver petitions at the constituen­cies, according to MP Mabuza, the Speaker stated that his report showed that 41 petitions had been delivered and 18 were still to be delivered. MP Mabuza said all MPs indicated that they wanted to speak.

The MPs, said MP Mabuza, resolved that the remaining 18 petitions be delivered on the weekend of June 26 and 27, 2021.

He said Masuku also debated the matter and agreed with the MPs that the business of the House should wait until all the petitions had been delivered and dealt with.

MP Mabuza said the MPs, including Masuku, did not mention that there was violence when the petitions were delivered.

He told the court that during the debate, Kwaluseni MP Mabhanisi Dlamini, Malavi Sihlongony­ane and Bhekitje Dlamini of KuKhanyeni and Sithobelwe­ni tinkhundla respective­ly, had received petitions, but they did not mention that there were acts of violence at their constituen­cies.

MP Mabuza said his colleagues who had received the petitions were eager to deliberate on the issues raised therein because the electorate had given them 15 days to report back to them.
