Confirmed
She confirmed the thanksgiving function and indicated that it was still at preliminary stages. The Siphofaneni MP requested not to give further details about the event. She was also asked about the venue of the event and she said it was under discussion for now.
“Yes, I can confirm that we are planning a thanksgiving show. However, for now, we are still on the planning part of it, so I think when all has been well planned, I will let you know,” she said. “Most possibly September 3 is the date we have set,” she said.
Meanwhile, interviewed after winning the elections, the KaMkhweli candidate and eventual winner said the electorate had made it clear that they wanted her to finish what they had sent her husband to do in Parliament.
She added that the electorate had tasked her with fulfilling her husband’s mandate of seeing a democratically elected government by the people.
Moreover, she thanked members of the Swaziland Liberation Movement (SWALIMO) across the country and the people of Siphofaneni for hosting a vigil and ensuring that they left for their respective places of abode after the results had been announced.
