Are cops killers safe? - NATCOM

-

MANZINI – Do those who killed the officers think they are safe? This question was posed by Deputy National Commissioner Mandla Mdluli, who was representing the National Commissioner (NATCOM) of Police, William Tsitsibala Dlamini at the joint memorial service of the two slain police officers.

He said there was nothing more painful than to leave your children, home and learn that death had struck.

In that regard, he said the NATCOM (who is out of the country on official business), was able to follow the proceedings of the meetings he was attending.

Condolences

The deputy NATCOM had sent his heartfelt condolences to Their Majesties, the families, colleagues, friends and the nation at large as their demise had touched and would affect all of them.

He said this was a difficult situation which brought fear and panic.

However, he wondered if those who committed the crime (killed the officers) thought they were safe.

“We have prayed and we hope the killers will be remorseful and hand themselves over to the police,” Mdluli said.

Blessings

Again, he said those who either lived with the killers or harboured them and those who would see them, but keep quiet, would not get blessings from the Lord. He said the deceased officers never complained about work, but they would see them sweating that they were working with dedication.

Thereafter, he asked the police service to go back to God as He was the only answer and only one who never forsake His people. He also urged police officers not to be frightened. Instead, he said they should work hard under this situation and they would be victorious.

“You know your mandate, stick to it,” he added.
