“This year’s Awards Programme was rolled out in July whereby a call for entry was made.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade is pleased to announce that there has been an increase in the number of entries recorded this year,” she said.
The administrator added that this year the ministry would be hosting the 5th Quality Awards Ceremony, with the inaugural event which was held in 2017. “The Eswatini Quality Awards are held annually with the aim of recognising organisations and businesses that have made a conscious effort and commitment to promoting a quality culture in Eswatini through the use of quality principles, practices and management systems in their operations.”
“The Eswatini Awards are a product of a regional initiative where in 2009 the SADC council of ministers of trade collectively agreed for the establishment of Regional Quality Awards and well as
National Quality Awards,” she added.
Dlamini also mentioned that the programme was conducted in such a way that winners at national level were eligible to be enrolled as entrants in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Quality Awards.
