Fun, excitement at fun fair

- By Mxolisi DlaMini

EZULWINI – Local artist Illa Penboy successfully hosted the High School Fun Fair show at Mdzimba View and Shisanyama on Sunday.

The aim of the event was to celebrate former pupils from different high schools, through showcasing their favourite uniforms which would later be donated to pupils who lack uniforms locally. The show offered a fun-filled experience for fun lovers and evoked past experiences from high school.

Although a handful of fun lovers showed up for the event, those present had a great time as they were served with good music from local DJs namely DJ Wicked, Tibza and M’ay to name a few.

dished out the best vibes for fun lovers for an hour.

He was followed by DJ Tibza, followed by M’ay.

The vibe twisted vibrantly when DJ Wicked returned to the decks to steal the show just after M’ay’s set. This time the talented DJ played a more lit set, which revived the show, starting off his mix with the old school Kwaito track titled ‘Kortes’, which is a song by the late Mshoza and Mzambiya.

The DJ played with confidence and professionalism, dancing on stage with Illa Penboy also feeling his vibe as he was dancing just behind him on the decks. Time flew seamlessly and in the fifteen minutes played by Wicked; fun lovers came alive and filled the dance floor, feeling DJ Wicked’s set as he stole the show.

Illa Penboy did not perform as he said the event was for the people to enjoy themselves without his interference.

“The concept of this event is for the people wearing uniforms to enjoy themselves and then later donate the uniforms to local pupils lacking uniform in the country,” Illa said.

Among notable faces during the event were, DJ Crooks, Mistosoul, Uncle Karly and DJ Maverick. Some of these faces were seen enjoying themselves in the VIP area while some mingled with fun lovers as a way of enjoying themselves.
