MoMo account set up to help unpaid Mbongwa

-

MANZINI – An MTN Eswatini Mobile Money (MoMo) account will be opened solely for the collection of donations for SNAT President Mbongwa Dlamini.

This was revealed by SNAT Secretary General (SG) Lot Vilakati during a press conference which was held at SNAT Centre yesterday.

The unionist said their president had bills to pay among other things, which he usually used his salary to address.

In that regard, he said since he was not paid for the month of October 2022, he does not have money to pay the bills, thus as a union, they would register a cellphone number for MoMo, which would be used by teachers and members of the public to send donations which would assist their leader towards settling his bills, among other things.

He said once the cellphone number was registered for MoMo, teachers and members of the public would be informed via SNAT platforms – social media platforms.

DISREPUTE

It is worth mentioning that prior to the letter of alleged misconduct, which is dated October 5, 2022, in August, the SNAT leader was served with a letter by the office of the schools manager on claims that he had allegedly put government into disrepute and further promoted hatred or contempt towards it.

He also added that the president was also summoned by the National Commissioner of Police William Tsitsibala Dlamini regarding the issue of ‘commander’, whom he quoted when he was mandated by the union to advice teachers not to go to work as their safety was not guaranteed.

Again prior to this, he once spent two years and four months at home after he was suspended from work by the TSC - between May 2019 and August 2021. This happened while he was a teacher at Mhubhe High School.

However, after the two years and four months, the TSC lifted his suspension and transferred him from Mhubhe High School to Moyeni High School, where he is currently teaching.
