Gin Israel were not just a door way into the cities, but they were also where prophets cried out and kings judged and people met, like in the ancient city of dan. A gate is an entry into an unknown place or a place of great significance, it is a threshold and may connect the living and the dead. There is great significance in understanding whose responsibility it was to open and close those gates, and the circumstances surrounding those times.
There are times when those gates were opened because there was a visitation from foreign lands announcing another King, and bringing back captives that were taken by other nations. There were also times when those gates were opened because others had come to reclaim something back, something that was of significance to their identity. Those are the times when they would use whatever force necessary to back what they lost. These were ancient ways of old for allowing and disallowing entry into our souls. Often times all it takes are true conversations and true expressions of our emotions and choose either forgiveness or redemption.

Steve once said: “if you still wake up every morning and not feel happy about it, if you stay in the house bored all day, if you have time to do everything anybody asks you to do and if you tell your dreams to all your friends and they still understand it, then that means you still have your lid on. You probably should open it …”
I spent almost a whole time trying to figure this lid thing out, and I realised that in fact, when you are still enclosed in that one place you have always been and if you are comfortable with everything you do, then you have not yet started taking risks for your goals.
If everyone else in the world around you loves and appreciate you, do check yourself up, if you are not sinking because they usually love those that drown with them and waste their precious lives, though no friend can ever tell you that.
You probably should observe how close they are when things are not working out for you, and see what they do. If they call, then they are usually trying to check how far from being free you are and they still live on as if you do not exist.

There are moments of redemption that we should be willing to partake in, for the benefit of others and may be because we also have been resident in other people’s soul unlawfully. There are people we need to ask for forgiveness from and others we need to forgive, and release them from our souls least we take them with us to eternity.
It seems we may need to realise that it matters not what a person has done, what matters is how we respond, and whether our response keeps us in bondage while they go out and celebrate life, whereas you are struggling so hard, even if they can help you but they shut you out.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, there isn’t a single thing wrong with being sidelined. if there is one thing wrong I know of, it is trying to pretend as if you are okay with what they give you and leave your dreams just because they have asked for favours and they just do not see the dream coming to life since their close friends or relatives also once tried but failed and all the not. Real dreams are never understood by anybody else except the one having them , just like an excuse may sound best only to you making it.
They will always ask how you will do that , how will you get there and if you do how will you survive , why you chose that instead of this other or they would say that there are so many far better things other than what you chose and bring you all the negativity, which at most times is very true, such that you sink once and start thinking that maybe they were right and you are wasting your time with it, you start second guessing even the very dream you have …careful, you just do not want to fall prey .
DREAMS
You know, I would rather be a clueless somebody, even if I know that I have what it takes to do whatever, for the sake of protecting the worth of my dream. Because one thing about dreams is that you don’t have to share them with just anybody and everybody, of their doing, or we choose to let them go and shut that gate from them. Imagine the kinds of people that we carry in our souls, imagine that they can probably live throughout eternity.
SKILFUL
The significance of understanding that a soul of a man outlives him, should make us skilful in choosing the kinds of people we should open that gate to. The picture of redemption is when we allow Jesus access into our souls, and he can well there for eternality, when he occupies that space he has the authority because you do not want its value to depreciate, and people’s comments can make that happen.
So, you rather be the only one knowing what your intention is than letting it be known just so it can get ruined without even taking off. The biggest and inspiring motivation is the bigger picture that only you, as the owner of the dream, can see.
So, you do not always have to wonder why people do not get what you are trying to do, but you are to value what you have and every day fight it, gaining inspiration from what you feel and see in your spirit.
One thing we all need to note is that they will not always back us, yes; they won’t even try to make it possible even if they have the keys.
They will be there to check up on us and see how far lost and how close we are to giving up. to allow and disallow through his Spirit even those we think should dwell.
A soul of man needs constant redemption, prophets when they speak a word of encouragement or comfort or guidance, they stand on those gates of our souls the same way prophets of old used to stand at the gates and speak messages from God to their kings. We have laboured to remove people that we allowed in to the cities of our hearts, some have literally overstayed.
Some came with a message from other kings, others we have even forgotten how they landed, so much so they have taken part of our identity and made it theirs, they are wearing pieces of our hearts on their sleeves. It really matters who occupies space in our souls, and how long they have occupied it and for what reason. There are people who shouldn’t have been allowed into the sanctuary of hearts, and some of them we need to get back that piece of identity that they took.
This is when we have to force entry and take it back. We might have allowed certain circumstances to drag a little longer than they were supposed to. Messengers don’t dwell, they deliver a message and vacate the land through that gate.
Growth is necessary for us, for if we were to remain stunted we will never truly appreciate where we are coming from. I have learnt to appreciate old spaces they really represent where we have taken our souls
They only come to make us desire to throw in the towel , because no matter how much they may claim to love you, it is just hard to applaud one person over and over again when you are dying inside yourself and life keeps coming down on you.
This is actually something we all know. Well, sure, sometimes we smile and be happy for our friends and others we know, but it doesn’t change the fact that we so much wish it could be us, if not then we wonder when our chance is coming and ask ourselves when and how, and as always the clock ticks .
You are never going to love everyone, because you will not know everyone. Now, let that tell you that you actually know no one but yourself who loves you on Earth and of course your creators’ love is way above.
With this I want to instil the to, and sometimes we might not or have failed to redeem ourselves from those spaces of old.
There can never be a new level for our souls if we don’t remove ourselves from the spaces of old. I suppose shutting that gate is different from closing it.
When something is shut it is sealed and opened by those responsible for shutting it in the first place. Lazarus‘s tomb in the Bible was shut, and those responsible for shutting it, were responsible for opening it. There are times that we might even have forgotten that some experiences with certain people, were the reasons our lives took a terrible turn.
And at times those same people might have to be kicked out of our dwellings for us to regain our lives and identity back to functionality. One major question that historians used to enquire of a situation was if they had shut a gate.
It took a lot of people to reopen it, people who were authorised to and those who were responsible for it. Maybe we have clogged our souls with so much unforgiveness. There are no open doors for a soul that is clogged by unforgiveness.
However I realised that sometimes we may need help even in forgiveness. Redemption is allowing the creator of that souls to open it, clean it and get it back to, functionality. Embracing our imperfections means we have accepted that there are situations and people we can never go back to people that the Lord himself had to drag us out of. Be encouraged today in knowing that having the strength to walk away and shuting that gate was probably the best thing you have ever done for yourself. You have come through by the grace of God. Now you can shut that gate.
fact that only you have the eyes that see the dream and you can hear it and feel it. If it makes complete sense to you then never try to explain it because once you do, you will have unanswered questions from people’s judgments. No one wants their dreams to be belittled. You know, even if I dream of the least business a man can have, it is still my dream and I believe in it. The rest is history.
But of course, I should make mention of the fact that it is not all these dreams that will be breathed life into.
Yes, like the Creator does to pregnant women; He allows them to successfully conceive, then at the earliest stage decides to take that joy away or He even can wait a whole nine months and when he has to bless the life, He takes it away.
This means that we may mould our dreams so much, others are going to fail just as we try starting them, while others we nurture and they grow, expand and explode in the end. We cannot blame ourselves now can we? Because life has already been planned and lived, except it is a new movie we watch at the cinema, in which we are not sure of what will happen and, only the producers know what they planned for us …we just need to act on whatever we see.
However way it may decide to turn out, we should still be holding on firmly to one thing firm -the DREAM - because even if it does not come to light, it would still be our dream; it would still define who we really are inside.
