He said the earth dam had been designed to address the needs of multiple users that include irrigation developmen­t washing bays for do mestic use drinking troughs for livestock and provision of water to the dip tank

He mentioned that the project identified the uses of the community and then integrated them with the future aspiration­s of the community

³7he downstream water developmen­t compris es of high water use efficient irrigation system to irrigate ha using gravity 7he gravity fed irrigation system has reduced the operationa­l costs of production by up to per cent thus increasing the water productivi­ty

³7wo other dams that have been rehabilita­ted include 0agojela dam in the Nceka &hiefdom and the Nhletjeni earth dam in Nhletjeni &hief dom ´ he added :hen asked how many liveli hoods they were supporting in the communitie­s where they had been built the dams he said households and each household had an average of eight people under Ngololweni &hiefdom

households in the Nceka &hiefdom and households in Nhletjeni chiefdom 6ithole added that the Ngololweni community already benefits from the wetland where the (6:$'( 60/3 assisted with fencing the ha wetland
