REPS, Correctional InstaCash Netball Champs
MBABANE - Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) and Correctional Services shared the spoils in the E30 000 InstaCash Netball Tournament yesterday.
The two rivals met in the finals of the men and ladies divisions. REPS Ladies were the victors against Correctional with a 44-39 margin in what was sweet revenge for them given the defeat inflicted to their male side earlier on. REPS opened the match in high spirit and made their intentions clear as they were ahead in no time but it was a tough game in the end.
The male teams saw Correctional winning the title after an 18-13 score line to walk home with the E2 000 grand prize, while REPS received E1 000 as runners-up. REPS Ladies got E4 500 while Correctional Ladies pocketed E2 500.
DOMINANCE
In the ladies game, Correctional maintained their lead to win the first quarter of the game by 12-10 and then their dominance crumbled like a biscuit dumped in hot coffee. REPS seized all the other three quarters to reinstate their dominance in the netball code. Meanwhile, Vixens finished third after beating Mbabane Raiders

REPS male Coach Fortune Neves said: “We got the results we expected. We thank the team spirit that ensured we win the match. We thank this opportunity as males to compete as we know that netball is a female dominated sport. We wish to play netball up until both leagues are equal and where there would be more males’ netball teams.”
