MBABANE – Ace golfer Nobuhle Dlamini is among golf greats heading to Jeddah’s Aramco Team Series finale.

Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in Saudi Arabia will be home to the prestigious Ladies European Tour Event (LET), which will be played between next Thursday and Saturday. The tournament has a whopping purse of about E18.22 million.

According to information sourced from the official event’s website, the team series returns to Jeddah next week with two of the world’s best female players confirmed for the event.

Charley Hull and Georgia Hall will be appearing at the final leg of golf’s global series.

Hull, ranked 18th in the world, heads into the final Aramco Team Series event in scintillating form after winning her latest Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) title at the Ascendant in Texas.

Hall returns to a venue where she claimed a stunning five-stroke victory at the Aramco Saudi Ladies International in March, and as she sits at number 29 in the world rankings.

For Eswatini’s Nobuhle Dlamini, it is an opportunity to end the year on a high note following mixed fortunes in the LET this season.

Biggest

Her biggest winnings in the LET were about E150 000. That was in Ireland late in September this year.

After a slow start, the Lobamba-born golfer defied odds to rank 11th overall and first in Africa in the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, which was staged at Dromoland Castle in Ireland.

Dlamini finished on 10-under-par 278. She was just four strokes shy of the top spot, pocketing slightly over E146 000 (Euros 8 400). This happened barely two months after her knee injury lay-off.
