had called Kunene to inform him of the alleged refusal of Prince Phondo to hand over the stamps, the latter was called to report to Ndabazabantu last Wednesday.

Prince Phondo, who was accompanied by about three others, went to Ndabazabantu so that the matter could be deliberated. Prince Mavelebaleni also arrived, accompanied by another resident.

Three police officers, including Deputy Station Commander Inspector Sibusiso Mlotsa were part of the meeting at Ndabazabantu in Pigg’s Peak.

Meeting

During the meeting, Prince Mavelebaleni narrated how he had sent two people to fetch the stamps but that they did not return with them.

He also lamented that the stamps, including some items that were used by his late father, were still in the possession of Prince Phondo and that he was holding on to them.

Prince Mavelebaleni also expressed concern that Prince Phondo was not in full control of the stamps and that they were being misused by his children. He alleged that the prince’s daughters-in-law were using it illegally and that they were charging people for it.

He said it was wrong to use the old stamps because Ndzingeni now had a new chief who had been blessed by His Majesty. “I cannot be delayed anymore since I have received the mandate to work,” he said.

Further, Prince Mavelebaleni said since the other stamps were still with his uncle, it was difficult for him to assist residents in serious matters.

He also assured Kunene that on the same day (Wednesday), he would go to Mbabane to have another stamp created so that it could be used to assist residents.
