It’s Eddie vs ‘Bhubesi’ in REPS Pool Singles KO tourney
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIllllllllllllllllllllllllll
M– Among the country’s cream of the crop, Manzini Regional Pool Association (MRPA) stars Eddie Mondlane and Nathi ‘Bhubesi’ Sihlongonyane go head-tohead.
The duo will clash head-on today in the Last 32 of the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) Pool Singles Knockout Tournament. These are all youngsters in the game who had been developing their skills by learning from stars like Flag Nxumalo, Sithembiso ‘Dodge’ Matsebula, Jairus Mhlanga, Vusi Masilela, Romeo Da Silva and Sikhatsi Dlamini, among others, but they now compete to beat their seniors. Eddie plies his trade with Manzini Pool Club while ‘Bhubesi’ is with Correctional Services. They are both registered for double entries here and have not lost in both.
Avoid
Eddie and ‘Bhubesi’s match will be a race to five before the winner gets the slot to the Last 16 and worth mentioning is that the loser will still be left one with entry so they can meet again in Last 16 or even the Last 8 and finals if they avoid each other after this Last 32 meeting and their other entries win.
They remain among those touted as favourites to win the tournament when it finishes tomorrow afternoon at the Matsapha Police Academy.

In their other entries, Eddie has a tough test against Way Inn and former national team star Jairus Mhlanga in Last 32 as well, while ‘Bhubesi’ played his Last 16 qualifier against Tycoon Dlamini who he beat 5-2. There are several others already in the Last 16 so only fixtures of those remaining in the Last 32 will be listed.
Meanwhile, the pressure is on Eddie who has very two tough rivals to get past if he is to remain in the tournament and be among those going for the E2 000 grand prize. More big names and national stars are still in
Iron Simelane.
