Looking forward to coming back – K.O
EZULWINI – South African (SA) rapper K.O thrilled his fans at the ‘Sete Sunday’ which was held at Mdzimba View Shisanyama on Sunday.
The rapper took to the stage at
10:30pm, starting off his performance with his hit song titled
‘K Hova’. As the headliner of the show, K.O delivered as expected, performing his old songs and contemporary songs from his new album released on
September 16 this year. During his performance on stage, he repeatedly expressed himself and appreciated the fans for displaying genuine energy. At some point during the performance, he paused for a moment and said: “You know I drove a long way to come and perform in Eswatini. As I was on my way, I was thinking to myself that I need to see some energy when performing in this show for it to be nicer. I can declare now that this is the energy I was looking for.” After making his declaration, he then continued with his performance and sang his song titled ‘Mission Statement’. The fans could not contain their excitement; they shouted in great delight and sang along with the artist. His performance lasted for 50 minutes; he got off stage at 11:20pm.
He also took pictures with fans who were by the stage area before he was escorted to his car outside the venue. Getting an interview with the rapper was a bit of a challenge as fans followed the artist to his car, in a bid to get an opportunity to take pictures with the artist. However, the artist granted a comment to this publication inside his car and said: “It’s a pleasure coming out here, the energy is great. It’s my first time performing at this venue, and yeah everything was dope. I’m looking forward to coming back to the country hopefully before the year is up. I just wish everyone a beautiful festive season, K.O signing out, see you soon.”
The ‘Sete Sunday’ show also featured local DJ’s and artists, such as DJ Wicked, Crooks, Mistosoul, The Spin Doctor, DJ Khwanny and Cheister to name a few. All the local talents displayed during the show were a marvel to watch, as these artists
