Urgent meeting on calls to remove Sobokazane head
PIGG’S PEAK – Hhohho REO Thuli LaNgwenya convened an urgent meeting with the school administration of Sobokazane High School amid calls for the removal of the head teacher.
The calls were initially made by the parents, who registered concern with the head teacher’s conduct, which may not be stated for now as these are allegations that have not been proven.
The cynical parents held a meeting on October 18, 2022, where they insisted that they had enough of the head teacher.
During their meeting with LaNgwenya this week, they asked for a replacement of the head teacher.
The embattled head teacher has only been at the school for two weeks.
Some teachers claimed that the head teacher was hardly at school, something that affected administrative and academic duties.

“She is hardly here at school, in the two months of her arrival, she has been probably actively at work for two weeks,” said one teacher.
Another said ever since parents openly said they did not want her at the school, she has not been willing to take advice from anyone.
“The school has been without electricity and is now a health hazard because it is not maintained,” said another teacher.
The school’s groundsman told the meeting that the school was not maintained and support staff had not been paid their October salaries to date.
In the meeting, angry parents requested that the head teacher be transferred to another school before examinations start on November 11, 2022.
