‘Birds’, ‘Weslians’ in ‘Y’ello double-header

MBABANE – As week five of the MTN Premier League takes centre stage, beleaguere­d Manzini Wanderers head east in search of their first win of the season,

The maroon and white outfit, who have endured a disastrous start after failing to score a goal and a point in their first four matches, will visit Green Mamba at KaLanga Technical Centre in Siteki on Saturday. Kick-off time for the clash is 3pm. There will be a curtain-raiser between newbies Seven Dreams and Mbabane Swallows two hours earlier.

This is as per a fixture released by the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Football Manager Petros Vilakati yesterday.

According to the schedule, it will be an action-packed Saturday. Highlander­s head south to face newcomers Madlenya at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium in Nhlangano. Action gets underway at 1pm. Two hours later at the same venue, surprise package Nsingizini Hotspurs will lock horns with log leaders Young Buffaloes in what promises to be a pulsating clash. A fixture between Tambankulu Callies and MoMo Cup runners-up Moneni Pirates will complete Saturday’s lineup. It will be played at Tambankulu Stadium at 3pm.

On Sunday, soccer enthusiast­s will have another dose of a double-header at the KaLanga Technical Centre. Holders Royal Leopard will be away to Tambuti at 1pm before a mini-Manzini derby between Denver Sundowns and Manzini Sea Birds at 3pm.

Massive

According to the fixture, Nsingizini will be back in action next Wednesday for another massive clash. They will play a pending fixture against Leopard at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium at 3pm.

In the National First Division, on the other hand, round two games will also be played between Saturday and Sunday. A Manzini derby between leaders Ludzeludze Killers and rookies Louis XIV headlines this weekend’s festivitie­s. It will be played at Manzini Club on Sunday at 3pm.
