Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) teams are a few inches away from generating profits that are above the InstaCash’s E130 000 sponsorship. The over 300 teams have raked in E81 040 just in a space of four weeks since they started registering their fans as the company’s clients. Mbabane League, whose cut-off date is today, have already surpassed the E10 000 entitled to this league, as they have generated E10 430 as of Wednesday. The lump of money was calculated from valid registrations. Registration of fans is a requirement for teams in order to participate in the InstaCash Hhohho Football Association (FA) Cup. The teams had made 16 208 valid registrations. InstaCash pays E5 for each.
The seven southern zone leagues had made E52 580 which was very close to the E70 000 allocated to this zone. This amount was a result of 10 516 successful registrations made in four weeks. However, the northern zone leagues who are just three weeks into the registration, were on fire as they had generated E28 466 profits after amassing 5 692 valid registrations. For the money made from the registrations, it is up to the teams and their recruiting officers to decide on the share.
Only four teams with the most registered fans qualified for the tournament’s semi-finals. Mbabane League will be the first to play this inaugural regional tournament on November 20 this year. They are expected to submit forms and national identity cards for all registered customers on Monday and finish the pending registrations.
