2 win big, man wins E2K

PPEAK – It was an early Christmas for two women in the EswatiniBank Transact and Win a Trolley Dash.

Khetsiwe Magagula, who is from Pigg’s Peak, was one of the lucky women but she did not walk away with one trolley full of goodies, but instead, filled two. Her son Bongani Magagula participated in the 60-second dash on behalf of his mother.

In just 60 seconds, Bongani managed to pick items valued at E5 672.36. He targeted mainly meat and cheese. His Mother Khetsiwe said it was a miracle that she won and ended up winning the items. “I did not even know about the competition,” she said. She said she did not have to enter any draw but was surprised to be informed that she had won and would be participating in the trolley dash. “It was only God,” she said.

Another winner was Thandi Maziya who is based at Matsamo, where she works for the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS). Her daughter Nonjabuliso Dlamini did the 60-second trolley dash on her behalf.

Nonjabuliso targeted mainly cooking oil and by the time the 60 seconds ended, she had collected items valued at E3 343.34.

Meanwhile, Victor Mkhombe, also won in the competition but he did not participate in the trolley dash. Instead, he won E2 000 cash. According to Sakhile Simelane, who is a Marketing Officer at EswatiniBank, the draw is known as Buya Nayo, Transact and Win. He said to win one only has to be a client of the bank. Simelane said just by transacting either online or with a debit card, one is automatically entered into the draw. He said the winners were selected randomly. The marketing officer said anyone was eligible as long as they were clients of the bank. “If someone wants to participate but is not a client, he can join the bank,” said Simelane. He also said there were other products other than the Pick n Pay Trolley dash. He said one could win appliances such as television sets and refrigerators or cash.
