H– The family of Kholwa Dlamini has been ordered to prepare for his return.
*Mama, who is a traditional healer from Mozambique said Kholwa Dlamini will not return home without an indumba and a pond. She arrived from Mozambique with other traditional healers.
The cost of the indumba was not included in the E60 000 that Sisimba Dlamini spent on getting the traditional healers into Eswatini and also for other costs. Mama is said to have told the family that since Kholwa had now been initiated into the underwater world like an inzunzu (mermaid), he would need a pond nearby.

She also said he would need an indumba, which is a consultation room for a traditional healer. Mama is said to have given the family specifications of how the indumba should be built. According to Kholwa’s father, Sisimba Dlamini, the induma had to be constructed using brick in the shape of a rondavel. Sisimba said initially, the indumba was fitted with a corrugated iron roof but the traditional healer said this should not be the case. Instead, the traditional healer told the family that it should have a thatched roof. Further, the inyanga ordered the family to build a pond.
She said since Kholwa now lived like an inzunzu, he would constantly need water when he returned home.
It is for this reason that the family was ordered to ensure that there was a pond filled with water at the homestead.
