Prizes galore at Build it plus draw
MBABANE – Christmas came early for some Build it plus Mbabane customers, during a draw that was held at the store on Saturday, November 12, 2022.
The ruffle draw was entered by regular Build it plus customers, who had joined the draw by attaching till slips of purchases made at the store to a form where they had to fill in their name and cellphone number. By doing so, customers stood a chance to win amazing prizes of which the grand prize was a Nissan NP200 vehicle, among other prizes which included a E50 000 worth home makeover, a 25 000 bathroom makeover, a 5-burner gas stove, braai stands, Stanley branded tool kits, bicycles and combo baskets.
The ruffle draw was conducted by Eswatini Football Association (EFA) President Fredrick Mngomezulu, who was assisted by National Team and Mbabane Highlanders star player Philani Mkhonto and Xolile Shabangu from Build it plus, who stood on the back of the bakkie where the entries were being drawn in full view of customers who had come to purchase hardware supplies and those who were hopefuls.
The draw kicked off with five bicycle winners being drawn followed by another five braai stand winners. Next were the three winners of Stanley toolkits and another three winners of the combo baskets, who were all drawn randomly by Mkhonto, Mngomezulu and Shabangu. At this instance, pressure was mounting as the draw to the grand prize was getting closer, it was at that moment that Eugene Mayer, the Assistant Manager, announced that they were also giving away home makeovers worth E25 000 and E50 000, after which they announced the grand prize winner.
Worth noting is that there was a considerable number of female winners, which was proof that more women are now more hands-on in the construction of their houses.
