He is famously known for the Deeper Shades of House music, which an entertainm­ent stable where the artist dishes out live mix for fans. The artist has released hit songs such as ‘Valley so green’, ‘Sweet temptation’ and ‘Love hold on’, to name a few. ‘Valley so green’ was released as an EP in August 2016, which was followed by ‘Sweet Temptation’ also released the same year.

One of the songs featured in the EP is titled ‘So hard’. According to Slotta, “This is a narrative about coming to terms with the truth that has been staring at you all along!

“So Hard is an emotional track that is guaranteed to carry you to a place of deep introspect­ion and reflection,” he said. In this song Slotta transports one to a place of tranquilli­ty, where one can fall in love with your true self and come to full acceptance of the dreams that we value, dreams that are a reason to hope, that causes us to give our all.

The first EP contains songs such as ‘Sanctified, Otros Mundos and Bomake’, with each song having a duration of over six minutes. As means of ensuring quality and value for his project, the talented DJ worked with Sihlangu Sibiya who went the extra mile in providing guitar keys for the project. The second part of his EP features a single titled ‘Sanctified’, a collaborat­ion where he worked with Sibiya. “The best collaborat­ions create something bigger than the sum of what each element can achieve on its own. This is demonstrat­ed in this spiritual fusion of and human rights violations to abuse and injustice. We are the voice of the voiceless. When reached for comment about his EP release, Slotta narrated that he felt great as he has successful­ly completed the project. “It’s a good feeling, it’s great to finally get people to listen to the music, looking at the fact that I have not released anything during

COVID-19 era.

“That is mainly because I am a music producer, and that means that I work on other projects other than my own material, so there is this other artists I work with to ensure that their projects are good and ready for the market. This EP contains 16 tracks in total, which I will release over four parts, so it’s going be four parts and four EP’s. More than anything I am very happy that the world gets to experience me and get to heal by listening to this music, get to be touched differentl­y depending on what they are going through as individual­s,” Slotta said.

Since 2016 Slotta has released House music under multiple labels, such as Antidote Music, +268 Recordings in Eswatini to name a few.

His music has also permeated through local boarders and reached Norway through his EP

‘Wired Deep’ which was released under Stellar Disco recordings.
