MBABANE – Eswatini-born DJ and businessman ‘Touch of Soul’ (TOS), will come bearing gifts for the Lunwali Festival.

The festival is slated for next month on December 3, at Manzini Club.

Born Thabo Mnisi, the DJ has wowed many by cementing his place in the South African (SA) entertainment space. He has dropped a few tracks including Ungowam, which features the much-loved SA DJ, businessman and music producer DJ Tira.

The DJ will heat up the decks in familiar territory for the show; he shared that he will have new music that he will debut at the festival. TOS also mentioned that attendees have a lot to look forward to as he has some surprises planned for the event, especially because he hasn’t performed in the kingdom in a very long time.

Actually the last time he was spotted in the country was back in July when he was accompanying SA artist, Dladla Mshunqisi for an event at Ekhayeni Chillaz in Manzini.

Offer

The festivals’ Public Relations Officer (PRO), Lethukuthula Matse, gave a brief description of the event and what it had to offer. Lunwali is oil used by emaSwati or Africans in general; it is usually used to preserve certain things from getting dilapidated. In the yester-years, it was used for things such as ‘Knobkerrie’ so they could last longer and prevents it from cracking. The oil is unique in a sense such that when you apply it, it changes the whole concept all together you could swear it’s new.

Lunwali Music Festival is a concept by a young promoter ‘Mhlonishwa Shiba’, who owns Black Tree Entertainment PTY (Ltd). It has successfully hosted numerous ‘sold-out’ events around Eswatini, and also invited by other entertainment pioneers outside the Kingdom, including Mozambique, SA, Botswana and many more. The main objective is to create an exhibition to facilitate by providing infusing food tasting, showcasing of cooking skills, fashion, craft beer and lifestyle during the event.

The festival will be a public recurring assembly for music and fashion lovers, which is set to happen annually. The festival facilitates connections of mutual benefit, between music lovers, fashion icons, shoppers and the community at large.
