SIDVOKODVO – Siphesihle Vazi who is known as Mlungisi Khoza on ‘The Queen’, a South African telenova, was a noticeable attendee during Scalisa Foundation’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) yesterday.

He was accompanied by his colleague, Ntokozo Mathebula, who plays the role of Cebolihle in the same telenova, which is produced by Ferguson Films.

Vazi represented NPZ Foundation, South Africa, which pledged to collaborate with Scalisa Foundation.

The Scalisa Foundation, founded by Senator Tony Nkosikhona Sibandze, yesterday reported that it had spent over E700 000 on the construction of 13 houses for less privileged families across the country.

The organisation needs over E1 million to construct 15 houses in 2023.

REVEALED

This was revealed by Mthunzi Mlotsa, the foundation’s internal auditor. He reported that the financial statement covered the period ended October 2022.

Mlotsa released a financial statement of the organisation which was scrutinised by members of the public, many of whom were not even volunteers for the foundation.

As a result, Moses Vilakati, the Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs, thanked Scalisa Foundation for its accountability and transparency.

On the basis of what he saw happening yesterday at Tum’s Waterworld where the function was held, the minister said he was tempted to join the foundation. He urged companies and individuals to help transparent organisations like Scalisa. Alex Fakudze, the

Chairman of the Board, said every cent was accounted for at Scalisa Foundation.

Senator Tony Sibandze thanked Synagogue Church of All Nations founder, the late Senior Prophet TB Joshua and his widow, Evelyn Joshua alongside Emmanuel TV partners for their mentorship, prayers and inspiration which led to the establishment of Scalisa Foundation.

He said TB Joshua taught them that they were blessed to bless others.

‘‘He taught us that we are blessed to bless others.

LEARNT

“We saw him, we heard him and we learnt from him. Scalisa Foundation is doing just that,” he said in reference to the mentorship from the late TB Joshua.

He thanked sponsors and partners, which included the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA), EswatiniBank, Eswatini Building Society and Eswatini Bible Society.

“We celebrate the signed agreement with EswatiniBank to build 12 houses for a period of three years,” he said.

“The local 100 per cent-owned Eswatini banking fraternity has been very supportive of our projects,” he said.

He thanked GetBucks, World Vision, Mula Sport, Tops, TotalEnergies, Dignity Pharmacy and Power Trade for their generous sponsorship of various projects. He also extended words of gratitude to the Mansoor family for building a house at Gamula in Big Bend.
