MBABANE – The sponsors of Miss Cultural Heritage unveiled their sponsorship to the winners yesterday at a breakfast meeting held at Molly’s Restaurant.

The top three winners of Miss Cultural Heritage are Lindelwa Maziya who won as a Queen, Nomphumelelo Matsebula the First Princess and Noncedo Mamba who won as Second Princess.

Other winners who were also recognised during the breakfast launch were Miss Confidence Siphesihle Maziya and Miss Personality Bongiwe Dlamini.

The sponsors who were present included Status Capital, Premier Bakeries, Imisebe Publishing and Printing, Eclipse Catering, Workers University College, Emlembe Beverages and Darty Tsabedze.

Submissions

These sponsors made submissions in front of the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stanley Dlamini, who announced that the council would sponsor Miss Cultural Heritage queen with E500 monthly.

Dlamini applauded the winners in the presence of the sponsors, cautioning them to uphold the integrity of the positions they were holding. “We are happy for the winners, being beautiful is a nice thing but sometimes it may cripple you.

“We want to believe that you will make us proud, this is a position which you will be occupying for 12 months. You are carrying the nations pride, pride yourself with the opportunity that you have been given. We will be travelling the width and length of the country promoting our culture, if you can’t respect me respect the institution,” shared the CEO.

Status Capital also pledged an undisclosed annual fee for the queen which will sponsor projects she wishes to do in the community as part of her duties while occupying the throne.

Dictionaries

Imisebe Publishing and Printing gave out vernacular dictionaries to all winners and further revealed that they would pay for a full gateway weekend experience at Sibebe Resort for the winners.

Eclipse catering pumped in E5 000 in sponsorship, which is money to be shared by the top three winners.

Workers University College announced that they would be giving the queen E20 000 bursary where she will get to choose a programme of her choice to study in the university.

Cathrene Poitheiger also announced that she would be giving a modelling school career opportunity for the winners as well as Musawenkhosi Mantinto, who announced that he would assist in revamping CV’s and helping winners to apply in any college of their choice.

This came after he had announced that he had recently established a new company known as ‘Model Money First’.
