Ramaphosa apologises, asks, keep faith in ANC

NORTH WEST – 3resident &yril 5amaphosa has apologised to the community of %odibe village and asNed them to Neep faith in the $frican 1ational &ongress $1& .

5amaphosa was in the 1orth :est on Saturday where he visited communitie­s as part of the /etsema campaign.

He addressed a mini-rally in /ichtenburg, 1orthwest where there is going to be a by-election to appoint a new council.

7he $1&-led 'itsobotla local municipali­ty was dissolved by 3arliament following massive maladminis­tration.

7he central message of 5amaphosa was reflected in a vest that he was wearing - which was written unite, rebuild and renew.

Hundreds of people in the %odibe village received 5amaphosa with loud screams and ululations.

5amaphosa used the rally to unveil new $1& candidates - who he said would fix the many issues of service delivery in the community.

³:hen , was travelling here inside a car - , saw a lot of potholes and , was told that president they are only fixing them because you are coming,´ he said.

He is also expected to engage with business staNeholde­rs and $1& branches in the area. Meanwhile, the chief of %odibe village in the 1orthwest raised his worry and concerns to 5amaphosa about mining companies not fulfilling their social responsibi­lity to the community.

CONCERNS

$1& provincial executive member - Molefe Morutse said the meeting was also an opportunit­y for traditiona­l leaders to raise their concerns to the president.

Morutse said the &hief 9ictor had raised concerns about a multinatio­nal cement company that had renegaded on its promise to build multipurpo­se centre in the village.
