IGG’S PEAK – Lud]elud]e Killers held former 3remier League side Malanti Chiefs to a goalless draw in an MTN National First Division match played here yesterday.
Despite having home advantage, Chiefs failed to punish the visitors as they controlled the game from the first whistle in a lukewarm match played under the cold 3igg’s 3eak dri]]le. Neither side produced a compelling game, with the home team creating more scoring opportunities but failed to find the target.
,t was after the break that the teams returned recharged and had a balanced game where both sides demonstrated ]eal to steal the game. Malanti Chiefs nearly broke the deadlock through Luke Dlamini in the hour mark, but failed to finish a cross delivered by Charles Molopo.
The striker was back again a few minutes later as the coolly controlled Baye]a Kunene’s pass and his well take drive was tipped over the bar by the goalkeeper Nkosingiphile Mathe four minutes after the hour mark.

Bafana Bemboyi, as Malanti Chiefs are fondly known in local football circles, thought to have broken the deadlock through Sandile Ma]ibuko, but his goal in the

minute was ruled offside by referee Njabulo Siphepho.
Both teams failed to find the back of the net until Siphepho blew his final whistle. The result saw Malanti climbing the ladder a step up. The former elite league side is yet to register a win in the season.

He is always improving and consistent with his performance in each passing game. The left back overlaps brilliantly and is brave to take responsibilities. He has a bright future ahead in his football career.
