Aerobathon event to support kidney patients

M– The cost of living with a kidney disease is unbearable for most of the over 400 patients receiving dialysis treatment in Eswatini.

This has necessitated the formation of an organisation to give psychosocial and material support for the patients, most of who are receiving treatment in the country’s three health facilities. The Eswatini Kidney Foundation, whose Chairperson is Busi Dlamini, has partnered with the Mbabane Club for a fundraising event to assist kidney patients. The event will be an aerobathon and bootcamp, which will be held at the club today.

Mbabane Club Gym Instructor Bongani Tiger Mthupha said members of the public were invited to an aerobathon at the Mbabane Club on Saturday between 8am and 12am. He said one of his clients, a medical doctor, had seen the struggles faced by kidney patients and recommended that something be done to benefit them. “After careful consideration, the Mbabane Club thought it was best to come up with an aerobathon and bootcamp event,” he said.

This event will be realised tomorrow at the Happy Valley Hotel and Resort in Ezulwini commencing at 9:30am.
