Limping Leopard face struggling S. Dreams test

- TODAY Seven Dreams vs Royal Leopard at Mavuso Sports Centre - 1pm

MBABANE – Struggling defending champions Royal Leopard bid to end a bad start to the league continues.

They take on bottom placed Seven Dreams this afternoon at Mavuso Sports Centre in Manzini for round 15 in the MTN Premier League.

Shushay‘n’Piano as fondly known in the soccer corridors, come into today’s match winless in all six MTN Premier League games since the start of the year and top gaffer, Zwelibandla ‘ Botsotso’ Khoza comes to the match knowing that a win is a must if they are to stay in the top flight.

The Mahlanya-based side is currently at the bottom place of the log table with only seven points. The rookies’ previous match was last weekend at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground against a rejuvenated Manzini Wanderers, which they lost 2-1. The ‘Botsotso’ Khoza’s charges face a side, which beat them by a solitary goal in the first round.

The Mankayane-based side will be looking for inspiration from Jabulani Mavimbela, Phumlani Ngwenya and Nhlalolenhle Khumalo to inspire them against a limping Ingwe Mabalabala, enduring the

worst season so far in the league.

For the Edwin Matsebula-led side, today’s game is another must-win fixture in order to keep up with the ‘big boys’ at the top. The game promises to be a feisty fixture, with both sides enduring a bad season.

Inspiration

The police side will be looking for inspiration from Junior Magagula, Fanelo Tsabedze and Kelvin Kunene to collect maximum points from the rookies, which parade former Leopard players in Sifiso ‘Sushi’ Nkambule and Mxolisi ‘General’ Lukhele.

Currently sitting on the 10th position, a territory that is unfamiliar to them and the pressure will be on Edwin and his team of galaxy full of stars that need to start picking up the points or they would not defend their crown come end of the season.
