The single will be available on all digital platforms from today. This is a break-up song with a mellow Afro beat, rhythm guitar and relatable lyrics. When reached for comment Amanda Mo said; “Deserve is an emotional song and unfiltered parting shot at an ex. The mid-tempo song is a fresh take on my craft, breaking away from my usual Afro soul and RnB sound.” She shared with this publication that she wrote the lyrics with unfiltered candour ditching the intricate production and layered vocals for a clean sounding record, gliding effortlessly between raw honesty and vulnerability that leaves the listener refreshingly empowered. The release of ‘Deserve’ follows the recent double release of her singles ‘Ngihlanyiswa nguwe’ and ‘Kuyavela’. The song is produced by Subjamz and had its guitar keys done by Mbuso and mastered by Big Dreamz.

‘Yintoni na Uthando?’

Ndwandwe got the gig after making it through auditions, that were held in SA on February 22 this year. The auditions saw participants coming from as far as Zimbabwe and Zambia to try their luck. However, only a few made it, including Ndwandwe. Participants auditioned online, where they were supposed to send three minute-video clip acting alone as a happy sherpard herding livestock to a farm. Ndwandwe was confirmed to have made it this week on Tuesday.

His South African Manager Mcebisi Mvalo confirmed the news and further narrated how he spotted the actor’s talent. “Meluleki is an amazing artist signed under my company, Junxion Pictures, which was established in 2016 and is based in Johannesburg. He deserves the opportunity he got. I was acquainted to him through another artist that I managed at that time, also from Eswatini, a very talented artist too. He was a dancer back then, fast forward, post COVID-19, seeing his potential in performing arts, drama to be precise. I took it upon myself to sign this promising performer under my management.’’ Mvalo went on to say that due to distance, he gives credit to the power of the internet as most of the work was done virtually.

Production

He went on to say that this year his production company is in the final stages of pre-productions of a most anticipated court drama series titled, ‘Yintoni na Uthando’ and without looking any further, Slwein (Meluleki) as he calls him, seemed to be a perfect fit for a supporting role in the show, given his talent and humour, which is one of the character traits the character requires.

“I invited him to audition among other prolific established artists in the country online but eventually he won the role. The panel was very impressed with his performance and a sense of preparation he put into his audition as Stanislavsky says, ‘An Actor Prepares.’ He is now confirmed for the role.’’
