MBABANE – After all has been said and done, Mbabane Highlanders Director Ally Kgomongwe is not going anywhere.

This follows reports that he might step down as the team director after it turned out that he is not eligible to stand for Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) chairmanship.

However, the team through their Assistant Manager, Makhosonkhe Gama, has assured the capital city giants loyalists that the director is not going anywhere.

“The team has received endless calls from concerned supporters and football lovers at large on what was published in the daily newspapers. The office of the director has seen it important to clear the air and promise supporters that he is not going anywhere,” wrote the team assistant Manager Makhosonkhe Gama on Highlanders’ Facebook page.

Shocked

He said as for the issue of him not being eligible to stand for the chairmanship as per the new draft of PLE Constitution, He was equally shocked and disappointed.

“He has invested so much not just to Mbabane Highlanders but to football at large. Under his capable leadership it is beyond doubt that the team is stable and has a bright future and of course PLE would benefit a lot from him,” said Gama.

He allayed any fears from their supporters, affirming them that their boss is not going anywhere.

He said on the issue of the constitution they trust and believe that all concerned parties would strongly engage and deliberate on the issue. He said they hope at the end of the deliberations football should be the winner.
