MBABANE - Multi-award winning and Eswatini’s queen of Country and Western music Cleopatra Methula is set to release new music this month, ahead of her much awaited May 6 live album recording show.

Anticipate­d to be released before April 30 on all online stores, the new single, according to a teaser posted on all her social media sites, is called ‘Find a way’, and is a follow-up to her 2021 smash hit titled ‘I’m a fighter’.

“The song talks about situations where we are broken down to pieces and we don’t always know where to go or what to do with those pieces, but it’s important to always find a way back home where we can always be welcomed and mended,” explained Cleopatra in an interview.

“Home can be anywhere your heart is, or with anyone who holds a special place in your life. No matter how hard it is, we should always try to find a way back home,” she added.

‘Find a way’ was produced by Aleix Garriga from La Llar Folk in Catalonia, Europe. Aleix is a Producer, Instrument­alist from Barcelona, who had attended the Texas Sounds Internatio­nal Awards with Joe Fields who won the Texas Balladeer of the year award.

He has produced Joe Fields’ album that is currently leasing in internatio­nal radio and many others.

“Being a part of the 2023 Texas Sounds Internatio­nal Country Music Awards was just full of new opportunit­ies and big networks. This song is a product of those networks,” said Cleopatra.

Meanwhile, according to the artist’s Publicist Bongani Dube, the new single is one of the songs that will be part of Cleopatra’s first album that will be recorded on May 6, 2023 at Eswatini Theatre Club. Dube said the live recording, titled ‘A decade and a rose’, will be a historic moment for Country and Western music in the country, as Cleopatra celebrates 10 years in music.

Cleopatra Methula is a Country Music singer, songwriter and guitar player. Christened ‘Queen of Country music in Africa’ by the CNN AFRICAN VOICES. With her golden matured voice and her original song writing skills she has written songs in both siSwati and English, creating a new energetic scene in the country music world.

She is the first female country musician to be nominated and invited to perform at the ‘TEXAS SOUNDS INTERNATIO­NAL COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS’ held in Texas, October 2019, where she won ‘Internatio­nal Rising Star’ & ‘Best Duo of the year’ awards.

The internatio­nal award winning musician raised the bar once more after receiving an ‘internatio­nal award’ from the SOUTH AFRICAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARD FOUNDATION (SACMAF) in November 2019.

She is also the 2019 MTN SWAMA BEST COUNTRY AWARD WINNER, making her the first Musician in the Kingdom of Eswatini to ever receive this number of accolades in three months.
